331 (Chesterfield) Sqn meets on Monday and Friday nights from 6.45pm to 9.00pm at Wallis Barracks TA Centre, Boythorpe Road - just across from Queens Park Swimming Baths. Click here for a map.

Cadet membership is open to young people, both male and female, between 13 and 20 years old. The maximum age for new members is 18yrs old. Cadets of all nationalities, backgrounds and abilities are equally welcome.

Our cadets come mainly from a mixture of schools in the Chesterfield Area including Hasland Hall Community School, Brookfield Community School, Meadows Community School, St Mary's RC High School, Parkside Community School and Newbold Community School. We all know that there are rivalries between some schools but these are set aside whilst at cadets. Disabled cadets are also welcome provided their handicap doesn't prevent them from taking part in a reasonable number of activities or is likely to put themselves or others in danger.

Not all Cadets join because they want a career with the Royal Air Force or Aerospace Industry - we are NOT a recruiting organisation for the Services - there are almost as many reasons to join as there are members.

Membership cost is kept to an absolute minimum - currently just £4 per month. That covers most of your activities and we even supply your Uniform.

The ATC is a 'military' youth organisation and accordingly there are high standards to maintain. You will be expected to take a pride in your uniform and appearance, be well mannered and SELF disciplined - you will be joining something to be proud of.
